How to Smash Your Fundraising Goals 💪
Here are some tips and tricks to help you on your fundraising journey.
Tell Them Why
Your friends and family are more likely to donate to your page if they understand WHY it’s important to you. Update your fundraising page blurb to tell them what motivated you to sign up and why helping veterans' families is so close to your heart.
Don’t forget to ask
Remember to actively ask for support – simply doing the challenge won't raise money. Let people know you're participating and ask them to donate to your page.
Remember, it's ok to ask more than once – your mates will appreciate the reminder!
Spread the Word
There are lots of ways you can ask your friends and family to donate. Dropping it into every-day conversations is a great way to start. Sharing the link to your page via email, SMS, on social media or in a group chat is a quick and easy way to reach a lot of people.
Post Your Updates
Show people how committed you are by posting each day during the 11 day challenge. Share your Strava runs or rides, take photos or videos of your fitness training and use the Legacy Challenge graphics below.
Lead By Example
You can kick-start your fundraising by making your own donation! This shows your dedication to the cause, and encourages others to donate too. People are also more likely to donate to your fundraiser if somebody else has already made the first donation.
Say THANKS
Don’t forget to thank every person that makes a donation to you! It can be a phone call, email or post a dedicated message on social media to each person who gave. This is a great way to increase interest in what you’re fundraising for AND show your gratitude at the same time.
Handy tip
Don’t forget to use the #TheLegacyChallenge hash tag and Tag @LegacyAustralia on Facebook or @LegacyAust on Instagram and we’ll share your hard work 🥳
