I’m taking on The Legacy Challenge to support our veterans’ families

I'm raising vital funds to help Legacy families in need. Legacy looks after the partners and children whose loved ones have made the greatest sacrifice for our country.

Being a part of the Legacy community, I have seen first hand how the support they provide can change lives. I want to do my bit to help give back.

Anyone who knows me, knows push ups and sit ups are not my forte, but I'll gladly put in extra steps, walk the extra mile to help this amazing organisation.

My Challenge finishes on Remembrance Day, the 11th of November, when we get to honour those who died to protect our nation.

Please donate today! I hope I can count on your support!

And I’d love it if you’d join me in doing The Legacy Challenge and helping me spread the word about the good work Legacy does for our veterans’ families.

Thank you in advance for donating to my Challenge - it means a lot.

Life Challenges

Saturday 9th Nov
I was hoping to do a bit better than this but I have a fair excuse. I had surgery last Friday to remove my thyroid after the unfortunate discovery of a stage 1 carcinoma. I had higher expectations of my recovery, last time I barely needed pain meds and felt like I bounced back alot quicker. This time has been the opposite. I'm not all that great at sitting around doing nothing, so this week has been a challenge in itself. Strict instructions to do nothing strenuous, no heavy lifting, no driving have left me feeling frustrated and the guilt has been immense. I had a bad day yesterday, I may have stopped the pain meds too quickly, but it was a forced lesson to listen to my body. And as such I now feel a bit better today and managed a short, gentle walk. Only made 1.25km but I want to (gently) aim to get back to 2k by Monday.

Early Start

Friday 1st Nov
Started last night due to some medical stuff I have going on today. Went for a 2km sunset walk with Maple, dodging trick or treaters 😆👻

With time poor as an excuse, I've been cutting walks short. But pushed it last night, and it felt good.
